LOCATION
The house is situated on the outskirts of a village ten minutes north of Saumur and ten minutes off the A85 autoroute, which is the fastest road to arrive on from the ports and channel tunnel in the north of France.
Eurotunnel / Calais- Drive time = under 5 hours driving on Autoroutes
Le Havre - Drive time = under 4 hours
Cherbourg - Drive time = 4 hours
Caen - Drive time = under 3 hours
St Malo - Drive time = under 3 hours
Airports
- Flights to Tours are available from London Stanstead via Ryanair - drive time from Tours airport = 1 hour
- More daily flights come into Nantes from Gatwick, Southampton or Luton. Nantes is 90 mins from the house.
Trains - Saumur can be reached in around 2 hours from Paris, perhaps after a Eurostar train to Paris from London
